Carbolex®, material – a high performance fabric - 40% more
abrasion resistant than nylon and 60% more abrasion resistant than standard
polyester. Products made of Carbolex® materials are easy to care for
and are long lasting. There are many different forms of Carbolex® materials,
the difference in the materials are described by their denier, or weight
of the weave. There is a wide range of denier, from 300 – 1200,
the heavier the weave, the higher the denier and vice versa.
Ballistic weave – Thicker material used mostly in the high impact
areas.
360 Phoslite reflective – Reflective material used for piping
and logo
Shock Cord Ventilation – Internal cord used to pull vents open,
increasing ventilation. Cord located inside chest pockets that pulls
the bottom of the chest vent down allowing more air to be scooped into
jacket.
C.E. Approved Armor – The C.E. seal on armor means it complies
with the minimum standards for health and safety in Europe for impact
protection. Aquatherm Liner – Waterproof jacket with 100gm polyfill quilted
liner zipped into it.
Pipeline Ventilation – Venting system that allows air to pass
through while channeling water away.
Kevlar® - Kevlar is one of the strongest materials available. Kevlar® is
extremely abrasion resistant and flexible. It is woven from aramide and
nylon fibers. The melting point of Kevlar ® is 450°C and is five
times stronger than steel.
